A portrait from a photograph
We need one good photograph – ideally in daylight, sharp, with the face clearly visible. From it we prepare the drawing and choose the palette. A single face usually takes several dozen shades: cool half-tones, warm highlights, separate tones for lips and eyes. We hold over 3000 shades of glass and ceramic, so a portrait never comes down to a few flat patches of colour.
Animals and fur
We make portraits of dogs and cats as often as of people – and they are harder, because fur demands directional setting. We run the tesserae along the direction of the hair, so the coat catches the light the right way and the animal looks alive rather than cut out. We work from photographs, including old ones.
A company logo
A mosaic logo usually goes on a reception wall, on the floor by the entrance or behind the bar. Unlike acrylic and vinyl it does not yellow, does not peel and does not need replacing after a few years – and it says plainly that the place is not a cheap one. We match brand colours in glass and, where an exact match is impossible, choose the closest shade and show you a sample before starting.
Where to put it
A portrait can be framed and ready to hang like a picture, or set on a rigid backing to be built into the wall. Smaller pieces, from 40 × 50 cm, ship whole in a crate. Larger works and floors are divided into segments and installed on site. Mosaic also works outdoors: it is not troubled by frost, rain or sun, so a logo can hang on a facade.
Price and lead time
A mosaic costs from 4,000 to 15,000 PLN per m². The price depends on complexity, the number of faces and the materials – a single-face portrait costs less than a multi-figure composition, and gold tesserae raise the price. A portrait of 40 × 50 cm is 0.2 m², so it often costs far less than people expect. Work usually takes 3–8 weeks. The estimate is free.

Can a mosaic hang outdoors?
Yes. Glass and natural stone are frost-proof, waterproof and UV-resistant. A logo on a facade or a portrait in a garden will last decades without changing colour.
How do you ship the finished piece?
Smaller pieces are packed in plywood crates and shipped whole, within Poland and abroad. Larger works are divided into segments and installed on site.
