Damp, steam and swinging temperature
A bathroom destroys finishes faster than any other room in a house: steam condenses on the walls, the temperature swings by a dozen degrees several times a day, and water reaches places it theoretically should not. Paint blisters in those conditions, a panel swells at the edges, wallpaper lifts in the corners. Glass, marble and ceramic absorb no water at all – the climate of a bathroom means nothing to them.
Where the mosaic usually goes
The wall above or behind the bath – the commonest and most striking position, because it is visible from the whole room. Then: the shower area, a niche for toiletries, a band above the basin, the vanity top, the floor, and unusual solutions. One of the photographs shows a round backlit window in mosaic made from light-transmitting glass; in a dark bathroom it works as a lamp and a picture at once.
Material chosen for the zone
For wet zones, glass and ceramic: they absorb no water, do not change colour and tolerate cleaning agents. Marble and natural stone work well on walls, vanity tops and floors, but need a different grout. Metallic, gold and iridescent elements give an effect no other bathroom material can – they change colour with the light. In the estimate we say plainly what makes sense where.
The design is drawn to your wall
We do not sell ready-made panels in fixed sizes. Each composition is drawn for one particular wall, so that a leaf, a branch or a line of the composition does not break off at a random point near the edge, and so the pattern does not clash with the tap, the mirror or the shower door. That is why, when enquiring, we ask for dimensions and a photograph of the wall with the service points marked.
Price and how it runs
A mosaic costs from 4,000 to 15,000 PLN per m². The price depends on the complexity, the number of details in the composition and the materials – a geometric pattern and a realistic panneau are two different bands. The stages: dimensions and photographs, design, hand-made execution in the workshop, delivery in sections, and installation by us or instructions for your own tiler. The estimate is free.

Is mosaic suitable for a shower?
Yes. In a wet zone we use glass and ceramic, which absorb no water, together with grouts and adhesives intended for permanent contact with moisture. It is one of the most durable finishes available there.
How do you clean a bathroom mosaic?
With ordinary bathroom cleaners and a soft cloth. Abrasive pastes and strong acids are best avoided, especially on marble. Glass and ceramic are very forgiving in this respect.
Can you work from my photograph or pattern?
Yes. We work from a photograph, a graphic, a fabric or a design of our own. Before making it we prepare a full-size drawing and agree it with you.
Who installs the mosaic?
We can install it ourselves, or deliver the work on numbered sections with a setting diagram, in which case your own tiler can fit it.
How long does it take to make?
It depends on the area and the complexity of the design. We give a date with the estimate, so the refurbishment can be planned around it.
